The condom broke or slipped off? Don’t panic. Inhale, Exhale. Sh** happens.
Here’s what to do now:
1. Not ready for a baby yet and didn’t use another kind of contraception? You can use emergency contraception (often called the morning after pill) after it happened. For the best chance for it to work, you should take the emergency pill as soon as possible. Emergency contraceptives are most effective when taken within 12-24 hours after unprotected sex.
2. Don’t want a problem in your pants? Be smart and get yourself tested for sexually transmitted infections.
