Your-Life.Com isn't just a place where irritating would-be celebrities like the Youth Task Force get to be all self-deluded about how important they think they are, you know. It's also home to a wealth of invaluable information about contraception and sexual health. And if that's not enough, you can also win iPods and stuff too.
That's what we've been doing with the Love Talk competition. It's where you lot submit your own stories about love and sex and relationships, and, on a regular basis, the best ones win an iPod. So far we've had an incredible amount of amazing submissions, and the first winner is Jeremy H. Jeremy's submission is the slightly heartbreaking My First Love:
My first love. Oh yes, it was true...but did she think that? No. Of course not. I am just a little rock she can kick on the ground. Men are taught not to toy around with girls' emotions, but what about us guys? I guess I am not important. So from this story, I think you know how my first love went.
Oh, Jeremy. Something tells me this is the best-deserved iPod in the history of mankind.

Summer arrives and with it, the parties, celebrations, strolls, euphoria, and hormones in full strength, more alive than ever.
In Colombia, young people are going on vacation to places with warmer climates: sun, beach, breeze, pool, and new people, in general unknown, who by the end of summer will be closer, loved, and who will lead to that famous adventure… “summer love.”
The subject of infidelity is personal. Each individual decides if being far from their partner gives them the luxury of having a romance that, in the majority of cases, is very strong. Perhaps because of the freedom that comes from being in another place, lighter on clothing, with exposed skin, far from the every day, like an unreal world that converts into a matchless paradise and with “new love,” even better.
As the days go by, chemistry becomes even stronger and hormones are at the point of exploding. At this moment, that has already passed courtship with the first date, perhaps an exit to eat lunch in some place leads to some passionate kisses that offer no choice but to jump to the next level.

Although you would expect Europe to be a continent where people know about the birds and the bees, these numbers show that the complete opposite is true. And these numbers are also the reason that I am very upset at the moment! European teenagers between the ages of 15 and 21 were asked why they didn't use contraception during sex. These are the answers that they gave:
32%
said that they didn't have any contraception on hand at the time. This doesn't make much sense to me... So where were the condoms then? Where was the pill? For me, the rationale behind this just doesn't make any sense. If there is no contraception available, then sex shouldn't happen in the first place! And if your sexual appetite is so great that you can't wait, there are two possibilities: either be physically close without having sex, or go outside to the next drug store, gas station, supermarket and buy some condoms!
Continue readingI will be 26 soon. Probably 26 and single too, which sounds super awesome and sexy to me. Getting old is a lot of women’s worst nightmare, but I happen to like aging a lot. How else could I have become this amazing and awesome person? Haha, just kidding.
Around New Year’s, people always ask you how your last year was. Do you remember what you said? Believe it or not, I have said the same thing every year: It was the best year of my life. That is true. Looking back on my life, it is amazing (so amazing it is almost spiritual) how much I have learned and how much bigger my world has gotten within the space of one year. I am a much, much better person and lover than a year ago. I have so, so much more to offer to my lover and friends than a year ago. If the 20-year-old me breaks up with a boyfriend, she probably hides at home for three days crying, or grabs a bunch of meaningless sex to rebound. The 25-year-old me would turn that experience into a play, get it produced and shown, warming the heart of everyone who sees it. BTW, I would have been such a prolific playwright if I have started doing that since I was twenty.
Here are a few things I have learned being 25 going on 26:

Many have heard and read my life story as portrayed by glossy entertainment publications: Denise Keller, the MTV VJ; Denise Keller, the face of MasterCard. "Fame, glamor and success are just some of the words used when Denise Keller comes to mind." "Guys want to know her and girls want to be her." "She has had the easiest life ever!"
Really? Is my life truly all as peaches and cream as the fashion magazines, satellite TV and newspapers worldwide blast? What I have achieved in my career is through sheer hard work and having a "do-or-die" attitude. No one witnesses the dark moments in my life which only my loved ones are aware of. I hope this short entry on my life story will be able to inspire YOU to stretch those dream "muscles," even during the bleakest of times.
